Remember Fest 2020

2021

Co-Founder + Creative Producer

REMEMBER FEST 2020 was a multidiciplinary arts festival presented in a unique online venue. It gave emerging artists an opportunity to freely create work reflecting on their experience of 2020 as art-makers, with the additional goal of helping to alleviate some of the financial burdens that so many artists were carrying that year. The festival featured 12 total works, including three visual art showcases, three musical performances, five works of theatre and film, and a series of recorded interviews with artists across multiple disciplines, all reflecting on the events of 2020 and it's aftermath, and how art and artmaking has changed as a result.

HERE WE GO

Proud to be made up of an all-female production team, HERE WE GO features the work of emerging artists in site-specific locations, with a focus on the work of women in theatre and accessibility. Jessica produced one site-specific short play festival, one reading series, and four virtual new play festivals with the company. Jessica's work at HERE WE GO focused on social justice and woman-centered storytelling.

Violet: A Webseries

2020

Producer + Director

This limited webseries began as a work of devised theatre in 2018, which Jessica, along with writer Lindsey Beth Meyers and actor Sofia Gregory, adapted into a webseries, seeing an opportunity to give it new life in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic:

It is fall 2020, and this high school theatre troupe has gone fully-virtual. Not only that, but they have been tasked with putting on a life-changing production of Macbeth, with the biggest budget they've ever had: $35. From the mind of Lindsey Beth Meyers comes a new comedy about an eclectic group of high schoolers and their eccentric theatre teacher, Violet.

Wrong Crowd: A Musical Workshop

2019

Producer + Director

Wrong Crowd is a new pop/rock musical by Federica Borlenghi. In 2019, Jessica co-produced and directed the original workshop production at The New School's Glassbox Theatre as a joint thesis project with Federica. Wrong Crowd centers on themes of family, belonging, and the transient yet intense nature of relationships in New York City.
